What’s involved

Matherson creates tens of thousands of colors per year in its specialized color laboratory. Whatever colors your range contains (gloss, matte, satin, metallic, pearlescent, textured and more) Matherson gurantees you the best results in matching accuracy.

Depending on the products you choose for your color sampling, we apply our paint to paper in a number of ways.

Coating: Modern machines coat the colors at optimum film thickness. Colors can be applied in full sheets or in stripes.

We transform the coated sheets into color chips, pages or leaves, which then form the heart of most of the color sampling products once they are given their graphic presentation. The color chips are applied mechanically to a printed support to form creative color cards. Direct deposition: a method of applying the wet paint colors directly to the printed card, which permits the use of creative shapes for color chips.
